So I wasn't getting all that worked up about all this LJ stuff because I'm apathetic by nature and I didn't figure I was the type of user it affected.

But apparently I was completely wrong.

Suffice to say I don't have a Plus account any more. I'm not sure whether I'm going to move to IJ or not but with this on top of censoring and not taking the user-base seriously, I'm rather irritated and will probably only be using this account for communities and commenting.

Oh man, thanks for telling me. That doesn't affect this account, obviously, but my writing LJ is a Plus account (thank heaven, it's also friends-only ... except, er, for one entry). And.. yikes. Thanks.

Mmm... Capitalism at its very ugliest. If you do decide to move, IJ is highly recommended - it's been working out wonderfully for me so far.

Yeah, I've been giving it a look and it seems like the best option (and I'm not about to say no to 100 icons on the free accounts). You've got to respect a site where the owner states outright that he loves the niche audiences.
